Dream Vacation Ruined By Bed Bugs!

A family had worked for months to save up for their dream vacation and they had invited 15 of their family members to join them for a week of fun in the sun. Their destination was a beach home they had rented for $10,000.00, located right on the sand.

Everyone was so excited to arrive, but when they started unloading their suit cases, they found the rooms were infested with bed bugs. That is when all of the excitement and joy turned into sheer panic.

One of the family’s daughters called me, late on that Friday afternoon. She was literally going out of her mind and insisted I come right over to help (There went my plans for getting off work at a decent hour so I could take my wife out for dinner!).

They were hoping that we could perform a quick treatment so they could stay there. Unfortunately, the infestation was too large and there were too many rooms with problems. A thorough treatment of all of those rooms would have taken days to perform and even then, we couldn’t guarantee instant success. The good news is that the owners of this beach home had another place for them to stay, and it was still close to the beach.

In this case, the owners of the beach home knew that they had a bed bug problem on the third floor of this beach home. They had already closed off the third floor, hoping that the bed bugs wouldn’t spread. Obviously, their plan didn’t work.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please don’t make this same mistake. If you see bed bugs, anywhere in your home or business, you need to get on the phone and call us immediately. Bed bugs are, by far and away, the most difficult pests to control and you need to deal with them in a very aggressive manner. Yes, effective bed bug treatments are expensive, but if you let them get out of control, your costs (or losses) may wind up being much greater.
