Now Is The Perfect Time To Clean Out Your Rain Gutters

The Almanac is predicting higher than normal rainfall this winter and now is the perfect time to clean out your rain gutters.
Rain gutters have one job: to divert water away from your home. They can protect your home’s foundation, prevent erosion, protect your landscaping, prevent staining to the exterior of your home, reduce paint damage, and help to stop mold and mildew growth. However, clogged rain gutters can make all of these problems even worse. And, clogged rain gutters can cause serious dryrot damage – especially to your home’s roof and facia areas.
We haven’t had that much rain in Orange County this year, so many home and business owners have basically ignored their rain gutters.
During our home inspections, we have seen many homes with rain gutters that are full of leaves and debris. Some are so full of dirt that you’ll even see grass and weeds growing in them!
